Sajid and Nauman Shine with Classic Spin in Multan Test
Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali’s outstanding spin performances helped Pakistan defeat England in a crucial Test match in Multan. Pakistan recovered and ended a losing run at home thanks to the two players’ outstanding ball-handling performances, particularly in the second inning. Sajid grabbed two wickets in the second inning, while Nauman took an astounding eight, destroying England’s batting lineup.
Pakistan’s Spin Duo Sajid and Nauman Dominate England
In an attempt to change the score with their aggressive “Bazball” style, England began day four by resuming their innings two wickets down. But Nauman and Sajid had other ideas. Sajid made an impression right on as he dismissed Ollie Pope for 22 runs in the day’s second over. Nauman struck a vital blow shortly afterward when he dismissed the dangerous Joe Root, who scored just 18 runs.
The strain on the visitors increased when two of England’s best batsmen returned to the pavilion. England was in tremendous trouble after Harry Brook, who is famous for his triple century in the first Test, attempted to hold the fort but was removed for just 16 runs by Nauman, whose experience proved too much.
Nauman’s Best Bowling and Sajid’s Key Support
After recovering from an injury, captain Ben Stokes took over as England’s batting stuttered. He gave the visitors some hope with his 37-run partnership with Brandon Carse. But Nauman’s deft left-arm spin breached England’s defences once again. Nauman’s well-placed ball caused Stokes to lose his footing and seem comfortable, but he was baffled. The bails were swiftly removed by Rizwan, and Stokes left with England down seven.
In the match-deciding second innings, Nauman maintained his rampage, taking three more wickets to reach his career-best figure of 8 for 46. A key supporting player, Sajid Khan claimed two wickets to complete his nine-wicket total in the match and ensure Pakistan’s victory.
Pakistan’s First-Innings Advantage helps in Victory
Under the leadership of Shan Masood, Pakistan scored 366 runs in the first inning, laying the groundwork for their victory. Pakistan gained an important 75-run lead as England could only muster 291 in response. During the innings, Sajid claimed seven wickets while Nauman claimed three.
Salman Ali Agha led Pakistan with 63 runs in the second inning, which saw them reach 221. Despite the efforts of England’s bowlers Jack Leach, Brydon Carse, and Shoaib Bashir, Pakistan’s spin combo was too formidable.
Pakistan won convincingly in Multan thanks to the superb traditional spin bowling of Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali, which left the English batters reeling.
