WhatsApp Introduces New Safety Features!
WhatsApp is launching a new feature to increase user security in response to the rise in spam and harmful messages in real-time communication. With the new version, users will be able to more easily recognize and stay clear of dangerous material by being able to confirm the actual source of links they receive.
WhatsApp’s Enhanced Security Features
A number of security measures were added to Android with the 2.23.16.6 release to help users with handling texts from contacts they do not know. When a message is received from an unknown number, a new “Safety Screen” with options to report or block the sender will show up. In order to provide users with more context and help them make decisions, the screen now provides helpful details such as the sender’s personal information and country code. WhatsApp is preparing an additional enhancement for its next Android beta release, 2.24.20.28, in addition to these changes.
